LET’S TALK ABOUT CHILDREN - EPISODE 2 - INTENTIONALLY INVESTING IN OUR CHILDREN (CHRISTIAN VALUES, GOOD CHARACTER TRAITS, MONEY & OTHER CRITICAL RESOURCES FOR A HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT)

Image
I want to mention that the content of this message is not intended to condemn anyone who finds him or herself on the wrong side of what expectations God has of him or her, rather, it is to serve as a wake-up call to the all-important responsibilities we have as parents. However, the language used in here is reflective of the fast-deteriorating situations in which children are brought up, costing our societies unbearable implications. So please take no offence. Thank you for understanding. God bless you. Now lets get into it.....    1.       Do we have family times we worship, pray and study the word of God with our children at home - Family Altar (morning devotion)? 2.       Does your child know God? 3.       Do you fact check what they are taught in the Sunday school sessions? 4.       Have you ever sought to know from God what His purpose for your child is? Like in the...

LET’S TALK ABOUT CHILDREN. EPISODE 1 – KNOWING OUR CHILDREN

Image
INTRODUCTION In very busy and difficult economic times as the 21 st century, the possibility of parents losing sight on the proper growth and development of our children is very high. Children are peculiar and special gifts from God to us for various unique purposes. Scripture says children are a heritage from The Lord, a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. Just as it has been clearly written in Proverbs 22:6, that we should train our children in the way they should go and that when they are old, they will not dep...

A TRIP THROUGH THE DESERT – HAS HE SAID AND WILL HE NOT DO IT? Does God really know the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end? Is He really the Omniscient God? Does He take counsel from any man before He acts? Who sits in counsel with Him, who teaches Him to do right? His creation? Did you answer “No one” to all the above? What then is the role of intercessory prayer? In intercession, we discern the will of God concerning a thing and commit ourselves to earnest prayer to bring them into fulfillment – Anna & Simon’s role in the birth of Christ Jesus - not a long tiring prayer and fasting for God to change His mind on a matter. No! You cannot teach God to be wise nor tell Him what to do here on earth. Did God say to Moses ‘Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation?” Did Moses try to persuade Him out of that decision? Did Moses succeed in preventing Him? How many people above ...

Image
A TRIP THROUGH THE DESERT (EPISODE 3) – THE GOD OF LAWS God will always provide rules for the relationship He establishes with men. Our relationship with Him is based on His terms because we are His offspring. No one will want to be told how to handle a product they have manufactured but will want to engage it for the purpose for which it was made. So why do you want to live in God's earth and do your bidding only? Please be reminded that THE EARTH IS THE LORD’S AND THE FULLNESS THEREOF, THE WORLD AND THEY THAT DWELL THEREIN. Selah!  The journey of God's chosen people continues even as He teaches them various lessons that will forever guide their walk with Him. Its a little dusty today so please be well covered. See you at the other side.      EXODUS 21 1. Every human society needs a set of regulations to keep the environment orderly. The laws of God to the Israelites was targeted at responsibility and discipline in the community.    ...
